Job summary

Mars is seeking a Global Direct Tax Transformation Lead to define and drive the enterprise tax strategy, data architecture, and technology needs within an SAP S/4HANA transformation. You will partner across Global/Regional teams to ensure tax-ready data, governance, and controls across US and non-US jurisdictions.

The role requires extensive leadership, deep GAAP tax knowledge, and experience transforming tax processes with large ERP ecosystems and analytics tools.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in direct tax, tax accounting, tax compliance, tax technology, or tax transformation.
• Significant leadership experience in a multinational, consulting, or Big Four environment.
• Deep knowledge of US GAAP income tax accounting and ASC 740 tax provision requirements.
• Understanding of current and deferred tax, ETR reconciliation, uncertain tax positions, and disclosures.

Responsibilities

• Lead the global direct tax transformation workstream for the SAP S/4HANA program.
• Define the direct tax strategy, roadmap, operating model, and global design principles.
• Represent Global Direct Tax in SAP S/4HANA, CFIN, data lake, and enterprise data governance decisions.
• Define requirements for US GAAP tax provision, tax accounting, and related disclosures.
• Define data requirements for local non-US compliance and supporting schedules.
