Job summary

LAC Federal in Dayton, OH seeks an experienced Electronic Resources Librarian to support a federal library environment. The role manages electronic resources, digital collections, metadata, and authentication, ensuring continuous access for over 1,200 Government users worldwide.

Responsibilities include administering the library website, CMS, and content discovery tools; coordinating with vendors; and collaborating with staff to enhance library services while meeting regulatory and cybersecurity

Qualifications

U.S. citizen with ability to obtain government security credentials.
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
Minimum 3 years of professional experience managing electronic resources, digital collections, or library technologies.
Experience administering electronic journals, databases, or digital subscriptions.
Experience with content management systems (CMS) and library websites.
Knowledge of metadata standards and resource description practices.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
Excellent analytical, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
Ability to obtain and maintain required Government security credentials.

Responsibilities

Administer and maintain the library website and CMS, ensuring reliable 24/7 access to licensed electronic resources and digital collections.
Manage electronic journals, subscription databases, digital publications, websites, and other licensed resources.
Create, edit, and maintain descriptive metadata, including language, country of origin, and usage instructions.
Configure and maintain user authentication, remote access, proxy services, and access controls.
Monitor resource availability, troubleshoot access issues, and coordinate with vendors.
Generate and analyze usage statistics; prepare monthly reports and recommendations to improve utilization.
Support implementation of user notification services and discovery tools available through the website.
Collaborate with librarians and government customers to publish digital content within the CMS.
