Job summary

FHI 360 is seeking a Laboratory and Diagnostics Advisor in Washington, DC to provide technical leadership for outbreak laboratory and diagnostic systems within STRIDES. The role leads design/implementation, coordinates with ministries of health and partners, and ensures timely, budget-conscious delivery of project outputs.

The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of experience in diagnostic networks, outbreak response, and international health programs, with strong communication and training

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience implementing laboratory and diagnostic network strengthening programs.
• Experience in infectious disease outbreak response preferred.
• Ability to advise on assay validation, platform selection, and procurement alignment.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for outbreak laboratory and diagnostic systems.
• Lead design and implementation of laboratory components in STRIDES projects.
• Coordinate with ministries of health and partners to ensure coordinated efforts.
• Monitor delivery of project outputs within budget and timelines.
