Job summary

Celestica seeks a Senior Manager, DFA and Mechanical Engineering to lead global DFA/DFx efforts for rack and tray systems, focusing on assembly, serviceability, cable routing, tool clearance, and ergonomics. You will own DFA rule sets and drive cross-functional collaboration with Mechanical and Industrial Design teams.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership experience managing global mechanical engineering or DFx teams.
• Deep technical expertise in DFA, DFM, and serviceability.
• Strong background in rack/tray architectures, thermal management, and cold plate assemblies.
• Strategic mindset to push back on design flaws and champion buildability and ergonomics.

Responsibilities

• Own and define the DFA rule set for access, tool clearance, handling, ergonomics, FRU architecture, and overall service strategy for tray and rack systems.
• Model assembly sequences and check for interferences during the design phase and challenge build methods before release.
• Collaborate with Mechanical and Industrial Design teams; own the mechanical interface into rack integration, thermal and cold plate assemblies.
• Lead continuous improvement with site assembly and tooling teams during trials to analyze cycle times and defect modes; feed learnings back into rule sets.
• Inspire and develop a high-performing, global team across Richardson, Shanghai, and Penang.
