Job summary

SaniSure in Camarillo, CA, seeks a Director of Engineering – Design to lead global product design, ensuring CAD throughput and BOM accuracy while driving change control and engineering excellence.

The role requires 10+ years in engineering, 5+ years in team leadership, and expert Solidworks CAD with DFMA/DTC and SyteLine ERP experience. You will partner with R&D, Manufacturing, and Sales to translate requirements into robust designs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering; Master's preferred.
• 10+ years engineering experience; 5+ years leading a team.
• Expert in Solidworks CAD (3D/2D) with BOM management.
• Strong ERP knowledge; SyteLine preferred.
• Experience with DFMA and Design to Cost (DTC).
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead global CAD team; set standards, templates, design libraries; provide training.
• Deploy 3D CAD and PDM; build global data systems framework.
• Provide design expertise to Sales, Customers, and Product Line Managers.
• Translate customer requirements into design features; close information gaps.
• Lead design reviews and risk assessments (FMEA) and drive mitigations.
• Promote design alternatives to customers; support DFMA/DTC perspectives.
• Maintain data integrity for BOMs, drawings, and engineering change control.
• Ensure timely drawings/BOMs; meet TTIs with accuracy.
