Job summary

Pyka seeks a deployed flight test engineer to support its autonomous aircraft across development and commercial deployments. You will set up the first missions abroad and train customers as they operate the aircraft.

After a two month initial training in Dixon or Victoria Island, CA, you will spend about half of your time deployed at customer sites for 3 to 5 weeks per period, performing testing, training, and ongoing support.

Qualifications

• Experience flying fixed wing UAVs or large multirotors.
• Experience with ground control and mission planning software.
• Knowledge of aircraft systems and manuals.
• Strong written and verbal communication; willingness to travel.
• Proficient in Portuguese or Spanish.
• Engineering degree not required.

Responsibilities

• Travel to international deployments to support flight testing and customer training.
• Guarantee continuous operations at customer sites and troubleshoot issues.
• Lead or participate in ground and flight test events.
• Assemble, prepare and test airframe airworthiness after shipment.
• Manage complex logistics for flight operations.
• Provide feedback for features and design changes.
