Job summary

gCaptain is seeking an Able Seaman (W) for Civil Service Mariner duties aboard Military Sealift Command ships worldwide. Base Salary: $64,535 per annum. A recruitment incentive is authorized for eligible selectees and paid as a lump sum at employment start.

The position requires UNREP and deck watch experience with CMPI-based pay rules. Responsibilities include bridge watch while alongside ships, security duties, line handling, and readiness for emergencies.

Qualifications

• US citizen aged 18+.
• U.S. Regular Passport with at least 7 months validity remaining.
• TWIC and/or CAC with at least 10 months remaining.
• USCG MMC with Able Seaman Special and STCW Able Seafarer - Deck.

Responsibilities

• Perform bridge watch and UNREP/VERTREP duties as required.
• Provide security, lifeboat operations and emergency readiness.
• Handle lines, moorings and ship securing for sea conditions.
• Follow CMPI guidelines for take-home pay and incentives.
