Job summary

Sony Music Entertainment is seeking an Associate Director of Data Privacy in New York. This role advises across departments, guiding compliant handling of personal data, data subjects' rights, and privacy program maturity.

You will partner with Product, Engineering, Legal, and Marketing to implement robust privacy controls and supplier agreements. You will draft data‑sharing and vendor agreements, lead assessments, and coordinate with Sony group companies on privacy in global events and

Qualifications

• Minimum two years’ law firm or in‑house experience in Data Privacy.
• Experience handling Data Subject Access Requests and Privacy Impact Assessments.
• Experience drafting/negotiating data processing agreements and privacy notices.

Responsibilities

• Draft and negotiate data‑share agreements with artists, distributors, ticketing partners and co‑promoters.
• Review vendor data protection provisions and conduct DPIAs/ Transfer Impact Assessments.
• Advise stakeholders on compliant use of third‑party tools and services.
• Support product design and engineering on internal tools' privacy and data handling.
• Lead M&A data privacy due diligence, post‑acquisition integration and incident response support.
