Job summary

Starr Insurance in New York seeks a Chief Data Officer to lead the enterprise data platform, data organization, and governance for a global insurance business. This executive shapes data strategy, architecture, and analytics across Actuarial, Underwriting, Claims, Compliance, and Finance.

The CDO will oversee a world-class data team, drive technology innovation, and ensure regulatory compliance while enabling a unified, scalable data ecosystem to support complex insurance operations.

Qualifications

• The candidate has 15+ years in enterprise data and analytics.
• 15+ years leading large-scale data organizations in insurance.
• Proven track record building data architecture, governance, and operations.
• Experience delivering data platforms for underwriting, actuarial, claims, and finance.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive the global enterprise data strategy.
• Architect and deliver a scalable multicloud/hybrid data platform.
• Lead onboarding, data augmentation, and adoption roadmaps.
• Build data organization spanning architecture, governance, analytics and stewardship.
• Partner with Actuarial, Claims, Underwriting, Compliance and Finance.
