Job summary

James Search Group is partnering with a leading global P&C Insurance carrier to appoint a transformational Chief Data Officer who will lead the enterprise-wide data strategy, platform and organization.

The successful candidate will build a modern global data ecosystem, drive governance, MDM and analytics enablement, and partner with Underwriting, Actuarial and Finance to deliver measurable business outcomes across a data-driven enterprise.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of progressive data/analytics/technology leadership.
• 5+ years in P&C insurance domain essential.
• Experience building and scaling large, global data organizations.
• Strong executive presence and ability to influence at the highest levels.
• Bachelor's or higher in CS/DS/Engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the enterprise data strategy to support growth and compliance.
• Build and scale a global data platform across cloud/hybrid environments.
• Establish and lead a world-class data organization covering architecture, governance, and operations.
• Recruit, develop and retain high-performing global data teams.
• Drive adoption of modern data architectures and data literacy across the company.
• Oversee budgets, vendor relationships and strategic investments.
