Job summary

Xsolla Inc. is seeking a strategic Director of Engineering, Data to lead a distributed team delivering recommendation engines, personalization, and data infrastructure powering a global gaming platform.

You will ship reliable pipelines, reproducible models, and observable systems with a people-first leadership style. The role focuses on data science roadmaps, real-time and batch ML pipelines, privacy compliance (GDPR/CCPA/ATT), and collaboration with product and marketing to drive business

Qualifications

• 5+ years leading data/ML teams or software/data engineering teams.
• Deep ML/statistical modeling knowledge including uplift and causal inference.
• Experience deploying end-to-end ML systems in production (batch and real-time).

Responsibilities

• Lead a distributed team of data scientists, ML engineers, and data platform engineers.
• Define and execute data science and ad tech roadmap (user modeling, campaign optimization, personalization).
• Architect ML pipelines, experimentation, feature engineering, model serving, A/B testing, causal inference.
