Job summary

Goodwin is seeking a Data Engineer to build and maintain data pipelines and models that power analytics and reporting across the firm. You will work closely with senior data engineers and stakeholders to support data modernization efforts.

You should have 2+ years in data engineering, strong SQL and Python skills, and hands-on experience with cloud data platforms like Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, or Redshift. This is a rigorous, collaborative role in a dynamic firm.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in a data engineering or related technical role.
• Strong SQL skills including joins, aggregations, CTEs, and window functions.
• Experience with Python for data engineering, scripting, or automation tasks.
• Hands-on experience with cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, or Redshift.

Responsibilities

• Build, test, and maintain data pipelines and data models across source systems, warehouses, and analytics platforms.
• Support the development and maintenance of ETL/ELT processes ensuring data accuracy, timeliness, and reliability.
• Collaborate with data engineers and product owners to implement data governance: testable code, error handling, and rerunnable jobs with monitoring.
• Contribute to documentation of data pipelines, schemas, and processes to support knowledge sharing.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, stand-ups, retros) and use Git for code changes.
