Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) AIS is seeking a senior professional to design and execute global procurement strategies for long-lead electrical equipment, delivering high-quality solutions on time and at optimal costs.

You will partner with design engineering, planning, delivery, and product teams to manage supplier relationships, mitigate risks, and drive data-driven decisions that improve resilience and cost-efficiency across the Amer region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Business, Procurement, Logistics, Accounting or related field.
• Experience with data analysis tools and visualization platforms (Excel, Pivot Tables, macros, SQL, Tableau, Quicksight).

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the global supply chain strategy for long lead equipment.
• Manage end-to-end supply chain operations including on-time delivery and capacity planning.
• Align demand signals with supplier capacity to maintain unconstrained supply.
• Build and maintain strategic supplier relationships for assigned categories.
• Manage supplier performance and allocate equipment by priority.
• Identify and mitigate supply chain risks to ensure uninterrupted delivery.
• Partner with Design Engineering, Planning & Delivery, DCSP to support roadmap development.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, quality, and demand planning on procurement decisions.
• Influence supplier and technology selection to maximize AWS benefits.
• Drive standardization initiatives to reduce complexity and improve efficiency.
• Identify and implement innovative supply chain technologies and best practices.
• Monitor industry trends to maintain competitive advantage.
• Develop predictive analytics models for demand forecasting and capacity planning.
• Create analytical reports delivering actionable insights to stakeholders.
