Job summary

Google is seeking a Commodity Manager to work with Engineering teams to optimize total cost of ownership for our global infrastructure. You will leverage broad industry knowledge and strategic supplier relationships to ensure supply, negotiate agreements, and drive efficiency at scale.

As part of the AI and Infrastructure team, you will influence cost, quality, and delivery while collaborating with stakeholders across Googlers, Cloud customers, and billions of users worldwide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical or engineering field or equivalent practical experience.
• 7 years of experience in procurement and supply chain management.
• Experience in commodity management or sourcing with data center rack power conversion or power back-up solutions.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple projects and suppliers, negotiating contracts to secure favorable pricing and supply.
• Lead supplier selection for new platforms with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Oversee schedules, capacity and supply chain flexibility, reporting risks to management.
• Mitigate supply chain risks and measure partner performance through reviews.
• Maintain industry knowledge to inform sourcing strategies and negotiations.
