Google is seeking a Server Operations Manager to lead a team of Data Center Technicians responsible for monitoring, maintaining, and deploying the infrastructure powering Google's global services. You will oversee server hardware installation and networking, ensuring high availability and security across our data centers.

Your leadership will drive complex projects, manage cross-functional teams, and enforce rigorous EHS standards while delivering reliable performance for millions of users.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years managing technical teams and vendor or contract management.
• 8 years in data center environments with Linux/Unix administration.
• Ability to work non-standard hours, including nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Manage round-the-clock operations across all shifts within the metro area.
• Oversee hiring, coaching, talent development, and vendor management for technical teams.
• Lead deployment, maintenance, and support of systems and network architectures.
• Leverage Linux/Unix, networking, and hardware life-cycle expertise to resolve complex challenges.
• Execute global strategic projects while driving strict Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) compliance.
