Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. seeks a Data Center Manager to lead engineering teams responsible for the operation, maintenance, and expansion of AWS global data center infrastructure.

You will drive operational excellence, optimize processes, and partner with internal teams and vendors to deliver scalable, reliable cloud services. You will oversee performance metrics and safety standards, travel between sites as needed, and contribute to rapid data center growth while maintaining the highest

Qualifications

• 4+ years of IT experience or Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or equivalent
• 2+ years of people management experience
• 2+ years of operations and on-call support for data center facilities, mission critical plants, or production facilities experience

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop teams of engineers, providing both technical and leadership expertise and ensuring the highest levels of performance
• Maintain existing Data Centers and support bringing online new Data Centers
• Constantly improve processes and procedures to drive efficiencies
• Manage relationships with external vendors and contractors
• Ensure adherence to Health & Safety standards across all data centers
• Create and maintain metrics to drive positive changes and implement service methodologies
