Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. in Frederick, MD is seeking a senior operations leader to oversee a diverse team responsible for building and maintaining the networks powering AWS data centers.

You will drive operational excellence, optimize deployment strategies, and ensure seamless connectivity across the global infrastructure. You will manage technicians and engineers, deliver capacity to existing centers, and help bring online new facilities while improving all processes.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a data center technology role
• 2+ years of TCP/IP networking, cabling, fiber, and test equipment experience
• 2+ years of management/team lead function experience

Responsibilities

• Manage a group of technicians installing and building server rack capacity for customers
• Lead and develop teams of technicians and engineers with technical and leadership expertise
• Deliver capacity to existing Data Centers and assist in bringing online new Data Centers
• Drive continuous improvement of processes and procedures
• Manage relationships with external vendors and contractors
• Coordinate with internal teams and management groups
• Ensure adherence to local Health & Safety standards in all Data Centers
• Create and maintain metrics to drive positive changes
• Support incident, problem, change, and capacity management processes
