Job summary

Google is seeking a Category Manager to define and execute strategic sourcing for new data center infrastructure equipment and supplier management. You will balance tactical and strategic responsibilities with technical, business and program management acumen, collaborating with engineering, quality, operations and finance teams.

The role supports Google’s AI and Infrastructure initiatives and global scale. Individual pay is determined by skills, experience, and education.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical or engineering field or equivalent practical experience.
• 4 years of experience negotiating agreements for manufacturing, infrastructure or for technology product.
• 4 years of experience with New Product Introduction with engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Deliver sourcing and supply chain objectives for Products in the Data Center Infrastructure space.
• Develop and execute category strategies to achieve total cost of ownership, lead time, capacity, innovation and quality objectives.
• Conduct complex strategic technology negotiations including comprehensive contractual agreements to deliver cost, lead time and capacity objectives for the organization.
• Implement supply chain, inventory and process improvements through supplier performance metrics, scorecards, business continuity plans and regular business reviews.
