Job summary

Google is seeking a Category Manager to define and execute strategic sourcing for data center infrastructure equipment and supplier management. You will balance tactical execution with long-term strategy, collaborating with engineering, quality, operations and finance to deliver reliable, cost-effective infrastructure.

The role demands strong negotiation, supplier relationship skills and program management fluency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in technical field or equivalent experience.
• At least 4 years negotiating agreements for manufacturing, infrastructure, or tech products.
• At least 4 years of experience with New Product Introduction with engineering teams.
• Preferred: 7+ years managing data center infrastructure.
• Preferred: experience in industrial engineering.
• Preferred: Manufacturing/Quality/Project Management or Engineering experience.
• Strong investigative and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver sourcing and supplier management for data center infrastructure products.
• Develop category strategies to optimize total cost of ownership, lead time, capacity and quality.
• Lead complex technology negotiations including contractual agreements to meet cost and capacity objectives.
• Implement supply chain improvements using supplier performance metrics and regular business reviews.
