Job summary

Tundra Technical Solutions is seeking a Data Center Engineer to install, maintain, and support data center hardware and cabling across US and global locations. Travel up to 25% is required to support shipyards, offices, and ports as needed.

Responsibilities include coordinating fiber installs, maintaining documentation, and ensuring high availability. Bachelor's in CS/IT/EE and 3+ years in data center operations are preferred; competitive benefits provided.

Qualifications

3+ years experience in Data Center Engineering and Operations.
Experience with data center infrastructure and lifecycle management.
Experience with copper and fiber optic structured cabling.
Ability to coordinate fiber installation, testing, and vendor activities.
Experience with low‑voltage infrastructure and physical data center systems.

Responsibilities

Install, maintain, and troubleshoot data center hardware and infrastructure to ensure high availability.
Install, maintain, test, and document structured cabling (copper and fiber).
Support low‑voltage infrastructure and environmental monitoring systems.
Assist in planning data center projects, equipment deployments, and migrations.
Perform MACs for servers, storage, network gear, and related infrastructure.
Document rack layouts, cable maps, and asset inventory accurately.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to meet project goals.
Adhere to rack organization, cable management, and airflow best practices.
