Job summary

Avanos Medical in Alpharetta, GA, seeks an Associate Director IT Global Data Analytics, Innovation and Digital Experimentation to lead analytics strategy and AI initiatives at the Georgia Tech campus lab. You will mentor interns and engineers, partner with GT ecosystem, and drive innovation in data platforms and AI governance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology or related field.
• 10+ years in technology with data modelling, architecture and data lake work.
• 5+ years leading high performing engineering teams.
• Expertise in training and deploying generative models (e.g., DALL-E, GPT-3).
• Proficiency with Python and TensorFlow; strong AI/ML background.
• Ability to apply AI to healthcare workflows and ensure regulatory alignment.
• Excellent stakeholder management and executive communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Strategically define data and AI vision aligning with business goals.
• Govern data management, quality, integrity and security per standards.
• Develop AI-enabled features and lead NLP, CV, ML initiatives.
• Build and mentor data scientists, engineers and AI specialists.
• Collaborate with IT, regulatory and QA to ensure compliant data infra.
• Represent Avanos in industry forums and partnerships with academia.
