Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Senior Project Manager, Dangerous Goods Regulatory Engagement. You will plan, coordinate, and engage with global regulatory bodies to reform DG transport and storage regulations, using data-driven approaches to reduce risk.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• 6+ years of compliance, audit or risk management experience.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications.

Responsibilities

• Regulatory oversight of existing and new Amazon operations, including collaboration with regulators to improve safety, growth, and expansion.
• Develop and update an annual engagement strategy and implement strategic initiatives.
• Engage with global DG regulatory bodies like UNECE, US DOT/PHMSA, FAA, ADR, ICAO & IMO, OSHA, EPA, NFPA, ISO.
• Coordinate with Amazon Public Policy to present safety priorities to government/regulators.
• Strengthen global carrier relationships to enable safe transport and storage of DG across geographies.
• Ingest process improvements and enable scalable risk reduction mechanisms.
• Collaborate to apply automation/tech to achieve regulatory compliance across the network.
