Job summary

Select Sires, Inc., based in Plain City, Ohio, is seeking a Global Dairy Solutions Intern to gain hands-on experience in the global dairy industry. You will work alongside experienced professionals to learn how genetics, management, technology, and market dynamics influence our success around the globe.

The internship is a temporary full-time, hourly, non-exempt position at our Plain City facility, reporting to the VP of Technical Initiatives and Innovation.

Qualifications

• A positive attitude with a passion for learning.
• Passion for the dairy industry and commitment to innovation and sustainability
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Available to travel extensively domestically and/or internationally
• Ability to work highly variable, long days depending on the needs of the Global Dairy Solutions team

Responsibilities

• Serve as a positive representation of the Select Sires, Inc. Mission and Core Values.
• Gain exposure to developing and delivering training to field teams.
• Understand our company’s utilization and implementation of genetic strategies and tools.
• Contribute training expertise and knowledge to our online training platform for employees.
• Participate in on-farm training and learn best practices for dairy herd management.
• Understand and implement a dairy or beef herd monitoring system.
