Job summary

Select Sires, Inc. is seeking a Dairy Sire Marketing Intern at our Plain City, OH facility. This temporary, full-time, hourly, non-exempt role reports to the Sr. VP of Genetic Programs and Research and involves supporting both sire and marketing teams.

Responsibilities include data gathering, cattle preparation for photography, and a project on bull development or marketing potential. Expect a 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM schedule, Monday to Friday, with occasional travel.

Qualifications

• Reliable means of transportation to report to work on time.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Willingness to travel overnight.
• A positive attitude with a passion for learning.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a positive representation of the Select Sires, Inc. Mission and Core Values.
• Assist the sire department with gathering information and maintaining data to prepare bulls for their marketing career.
• Assist the marketing department with preparing cattle for photography, including selecting, clipping, grooming, and fitting cattle.
• Carry out a project to provide insight about bull development or a bull’s future marketing capabilities.
