Job summary

Select Sires, Inc. in Plain City, OH is seeking a Global Dairy Solutions Intern to gain hands-on experience in the global dairy industry. You will work with experts to understand genetics, management, technology, and market dynamics driving our success worldwide.

The role is a temporary full-time, hourly, non-exempt internship reporting to the VP of Technical Initiatives and Innovation, with training, on-farm exposure, and travel as needed. Schedule is Mon–Fri, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM.

Qualifications

• Positive attitude with a passion for learning.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Available to travel domestically and internationally.
• Current undergraduate or graduate student in Animal/Dairy Science.
• Willingness to work long, variable days as needed.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a positive representation of Select Sires, Inc.'s mission and core values.
• Gain exposure to developing and delivering training to field teams.
• Understand our genetic strategies and tools used by the company.
• Contribute training expertise to our online training platform.
• Participate in on-farm training and dairy herd management practices.
• Learn and implement a dairy or beef herd monitoring system.
