Job summary

Howmet Aerospace Inc. in Pittsburgh seeks a Deputy Chief Information Security Officer (Deputy CISO) to lead global cybersecurity strategy, governance, and operational resilience in a highly regulated aerospace manufacturing environment.

You will report to the CISO, oversee security operations, drive risk management, and ensure compliance with ITAR, DFARS, EAR, and other regimes while partnering with legal, procurement, and engineering.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity, engineering, computer science, or a related field.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in cybersecurity, including leadership roles in large, complex, global organizations.
• Deep expertise in security governance, risk management, incident response, and regulatory compliance.
• Experience securing OT/ICS environments, manufacturing systems, or aerospace/defense technologies.
• Strong knowledge of NIST, ISO, CMMC, DFARS, ITAR, and other relevant frameworks.
• Proven ability to lead large teams, manage crises, and influence senior executives.
• Ability to operate effectively in a high-security, export-controlled environment.

Responsibilities

• Drive enterprise-wide security strategy, governance, and operational resilience.
• Oversee global Security Operations Center, threat intelligence, incident response, and forensics.
• Lead risk assessments, supplier security evaluations, and regulatory compliance audits.
• Partner with Legal, Compliance, IT, and Export Control to meet aerospace/defense requirements.
• Embed security into product design, avionics systems, and industrial control environments.
• Represent cybersecurity with regulators, government agencies, and customers; report to Board.
