Ursa Major is seeking an executive technology leader to become Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) with active clearance. The role requires owning enterprise cybersecurity across multi-site facilities, building a world‑class team, and maturing security for unclassified and classified defense programs.

You will oversee CMMC Level 2, RMF, and NIST alignment, partner with FSO, and lead risk governance for a high-growth defense company preparing for public-company operations.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in cybersecurity and secure systems architecture in A&D.
• Active U.S. Government Top Secret clearance with SCI/SAP eligibility preferred.
• Proven track record with FSOs, AOs, and program leadership on authorizations.
• Deep mastery of NIST RMF, NIST SP 800-171, CMMC Level 2, and RMF.

Responsabilités

• Define and execute enterprise cybersecurity and information assurance strategy across environments.
• Lead and mentor a cybersecurity engineering and compliance team with cross-functional partnership.
• Advance and accredit CMMC Level 2 / NIST SP 800-171 architectures for unclassified and classified data.
• Oversee digital architecture, authorization packages, and monitoring of classified info systems.
• Establish a cyber risk register with clear operational business metrics for executives.
