Job summary

AMD in Austin, TX is seeking a CPU Performance Team Lead to guide the next generation of AMD CPU performance analysis and optimization. You will manage a senior, distributed team and partner with Core Architecture and RTL to shape a high-performance CPU core and roadmap.

You will lead end-to-end performance modeling, analysis, and validation efforts across product lines, collaborating with engineering, product, and validation teams to deliver results on schedule and budget.

Qualifications

• Experience leading large CPU performance analysis and optimization programs.
• Experience managing 20+ engineers across distributed teams.
• Strong knowledge of CPU performance domains: Early Investigation, Core Architecture, Performance Modeling, Analysis and Correlation, Post-Silicon Validation.
• Excellent cross-functional collaboration with engineering, product, and validation teams.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management; ability to explain complex ideas to diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end CPU performance analysis and optimization for AMD Cores.
• Partner with Core Architecture and RTL to deliver high-performance cores.
• Manage performance modeling and analysis across the roadmap.
• Represent the Performance Team and report progress.
• Communicate updates to team and broader organization.
