AMD in Austin, TX is seeking a CPU Performance Team Lead to guide the next generation of AMD CPU performance analysis and optimization. You will manage a senior, distributed team and partner with Core Architecture and RTL to shape a high-performance CPU core and roadmap.

As a CPU Performance Team Lead, you will have a unique opportunity to lead the team responsible for AMD’s next-generation CPU performance analysis and optimization. You will manage a team of talented engineers with diverse experiences and demonstrated contributions to CPU performance innovation who have a track record of success.
As the leader of the Performance Team, you will work on the leading edge of processor technology and collaborate with the Core Architecture and RTL teams to make AMD’s ambitious future CPU roadmap a reality.
You enjoy leading a senior, geographically distributed team and have a strong set of management skills. You approach challenges with persistence, curiosity, and a focus on achieving results -- with both critical thinking and creativity. You possess both strong verbal and written communication skills. You enjoy interacting with people to plan and organize a team to get large, complex projects done. You know how to measure progress and take action to keep a project on schedule and budget.
