Job summary

Rolls‑Royce plc in Minnesota seeks a Project Manager for Cost Out Procurement to lead and realize cost‑reduction initiatives across the global supply chain. You will drive market analyses, supplier evaluations, and should‑cost modeling in collaboration with Engineering, Quality, Logistics, Finance and Production teams.

The role requires strong negotiation and analytical skills, plus experience in procurement or value engineering.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
• Several years of experience in Procurement, Cost‑Out Management, Value Engineering, or technical project management.

Responsibilities

• Project Management for Cost‑Out Initiatives: Planning, leading, and monitoring cost‑out projects.
• Developing project plans, milestones, resource requirements, and savings targets.
• Managing cross‑functional teams (Engineering, Quality, Logistics, Finance, Production).
• Ensuring on‑time execution, reporting, and risk management.
• Market and Supplier Analysis: Identifying new global procurement markets with savings potential.
• Conducting detailed market analyses, benchmarks, and comparative cost calculations.
• Applying international Best‑Cost‑Country sourcing strategies.
• Evaluating and selecting suppliers based on price, quality, delivery and sustainability.
• Technical Expertise & Cost Analysis: Analyzing product specs, manufacturing technologies, and costs.
• Preparing Should‑Cost analyses and TCO models.
• Identifying optimization opportunities with Engineering.
• Process Optimization & Continuous Improvement of procurement processes.
• Defining and implementing cost‑out methodology, reporting, and KPIs.
• International Collaboration with global procurement and technical teams.
