Job summary

Cohere is seeking a versatile corporate and regulatory lawyer to join our Legal team. Serving a global portfolio, you will manage subsidiary governance, intercompany arrangements and cross-border regulatory work while guiding export-controls and procurement-related issues.

You will collaborate with Finance, Tax, People, Security and external counsel across jurisdictions, taking ownership of workstreams and translating complex regulatory advice into practical actions for the business.

Qualifications

• Qualified lawyer with 4–8 years of relevant cross-border corporate and regulatory experience.
• Experience in subsidiary governance, entity structuring and intercompany arrangements.
• Exposure to export controls, sanctions, foreign investment screening and related compliance.

Responsibilities

• Support global corporate governance and entity matters, including board and shareholder issues.
• Coordinate cross-border regulatory workstreams, including compliance and filings.
• Implement export-control, sanctions and related compliance programs across jurisdictions.
• Advise on public-sector and regulated-market opportunities with sovereignty/ procurement considerations.
• Collaborate with Finance, Tax, People, Security and external counsel to align positions.
• Own internal workstreams, translate complex advice into actionable steps for the business.
• Communicate clearly with stakeholders across Legal, Finance, Tax and commercial teams.
