Job summary

FalconX is seeking a highly skilled Director, Corporate Controller to lead our Global Finance Team in New York. This senior role ensures a high-quality month-end close and manages complex external audits across US and India, while building a distributed, high-performing accounting organization.

You will own the general ledger, drive process improvements and automation using NetSuite, FloQast, ZIP and Workiva, and collaborate with FP&A, Tax and Operations to ensure GAAP compliance and strong

Qualifications

• 10-15+ years of progressive accounting experience, with a minimum of 7+ years in senior management leading large, diverse global teams.
• Proven track record of managing distributed team members from different geographical locations.
• Extensive hands-on experience establishing a timely month-end close and coordinating complex external audits.
• Deep knowledge of US GAAP reporting standards and accounting operations.
• Background in financial services, fintech, banking, broker-dealer, or crypto is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the global financial close process, ensuring accurate, high-quality and timely consolidations across multiple entities.
• Act as primary contact for external auditors and coordinate audit planning and readiness.
• Lead and mentor a distributed global accounting team across the US and India.
• Champion automation within the controllership and leverage AI tools to shorten close timelines.
• Own the general ledger and drive cross-functional collaboration with FP&A, Tax and Operations.
• Design and implement robust internal controls over financial reporting and document accounting procedures.
