Shaw Industries seeks a Controls Automation Engineer to lead process improvements and capital projects across manufacturing sites. You will collaborate with plant teams to advance automation strategies and develop new processes for scalable product manufacturing.

The role emphasizes hands-on engineering, global collaboration, and leadership in electrical controls, PLCs, and HMIs to support multiple sites worldwide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Computer, or Mechatronics Engineering.
• Minimum 2 years relevant experience.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Drects and supports electricians, junior AEs, and plant staff in troubleshooting electrical problems on equipment.
• Supports process improvement by Automation tasks and managing internal/external resources.
• Manages capital project efforts from electrical and mechanical perspectives, including budgeting and commissioning.
• Maintains electrical standards and best practices across divisions.
• Drives process conformity from a controls perspective across divisions.
• Supports 24/7 manufacturing operations, including on-call weekend/holiday work.
