Job summary

Brown Brothers Harriman & Co. invites a junior-year college student to join the 10-week Global Controllers Internship in Boston, focusing on financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis. You will learn from seasoned professionals, build practical Excel and data skills, and contribute to real firm-wide planning and reporting.

This program also serves as a pipeline for full-time roles. You will partner with the Business Line Controllers to understand how the firm earns,

Qualifications

Current Junior in College, entering senior year in Fall of 2027, with a background in accounting, finance, or economics.
GPA of 3.3 or higher and demonstrated leadership through academic and extracurricular involvement.
Clear and confident communication skills, written and verbal; familiar with accounting principles.
Intermediate Excel and PowerPoint; comfortable with formulas (VLOOKUP, IF) and pivot tables; basic data visualization.
Prior coding experience (RStudio) preferred.

Responsibilities

Hands-on learning: ownership of substantive finance work—management reporting, budgeting and forecasting, variance analysis, and allocations.
Develop Excel models and data views; translate findings into clear presentations for leadership.
Collaborate with interns on a capstone project and present recommendations to senior leadership.
