Job summary

Bitwise Asset Management is seeking an experienced Global Controller to design and lead a world-class global accounting function across jurisdictions. This role will own policy, controls, and the consolidation framework, guiding complex US GAAP and cross-border accounting decisions.

The ideal candidate will operate at strategic and detailed levels, assessing risks, driving improvements, and ensuring timely, accurate financial reporting across multiple entities and currencies.

Qualifications

• CPA required and licensed to practice.
• Deep expertise in US GAAP, consolidation, and foreign currency accounting.
• IFRS experience a plus and knowledge of multi-entity accounting.
• Experience in asset management or broader financial services; crypto industry experience is a plus.
• M&A and post-acquisition integration experience is a plus.
• Strong executive presence and ability to influence across leadership.

Responsibilities

• Own the global accounting function across all entities.
• Design scalable accounting architecture and reporting standards.
• Assess practices and financial balances across entities and drive resolutions.
• Own global policy framework and technical accounting under US GAAP.
• Oversee IFRS and local statutory requirements with US GAAP reconciliation.
• Establish and improve key controls, reconciliations, and close processes.
• Lead consolidated financial reporting under US GAAP.
• Direct accounting integration of new acquisitions and new entities.
• Lead PCAOB audit readiness and manage audits across subsidiaries.
• Identify risks and translate into remediation plans with timelines.
• Build and develop a high-performing global accounting organization.
