Global Controller (Hybrid, Boston)

A growing software company, located in Boston, is actively seeking a seasoned 10-15 year accounting professional to join their team as a Global Controller. The ideal candidate has strong B2B SaaS experience with 10-15+ years under their belt. This is a hybrid role (3 days onsite) that is offering a strong compensation package plus bonus potential and equity. If you’re interested in the Global Controller role, please keep reading.

Responsibilities and Qualifications:

• Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the accounting department, ensuring efficient and accurate financial reporting for the company.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP and SaaS-specific accounting standards, including revenue recognition under ASC 606.
• Oversee and manage the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
• Coordinate and manage the preparation of the company’s annual budget and financial forecasts, working closely with cross-functional teams to align financial goals.
• Develop and maintain key financial and operational metrics (KPIs) to track company performance, ensuring the ability to analyze trends, costs, and profitability.
• Manage cash flow, ensuring adequate liquidity and optimizing cash management strategies.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations, coordinating with external tax advisors to prepare and file tax returns.
• Manage relationships with external auditors and coordinate the annual audit process, ensuring the timely completion of audits and the integrity of financial reporting.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• CPA required.
• Previous SaaS experience required.
• Strong technical and organizational skills.
• NetSuite Experience strongly preferred.
