Job summary

Saviynt in New York seeks a seasoned Controller to lead our global accounting operations and financial reporting, ensuring accuracy and timely insight as we scale. This role directs an international team of ~15 finance professionals, primarily in India, handling multi-entity consolidations and complex statutory requirements across 14 subsidiaries.

You’ll shape accounting policies, drive process improvements with modern tools, mentor staff, and partner with executives to steer financial strategy

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance with 8–10 years progressive accounting experience.
• Experience managing global multi-entity consolidations and statutory reporting.
• CPA or CMA certification and Big 4 background required.
• Strong US GAAP knowledge and regulatory compliance.
• Proficient with ERP systems and NetSuite preferred.

Responsibilities

• As Saviynt’s next Controller, you’ll be the financial compass guiding our rapid growth
• You’ll own the integrity of our financial reporting, ensuring we have the clear, actionable insights needed to make strategic decisions and maintain compliance as we scale

• Direct an international team of approximately 15 finance professionals—primarily based in India—and manage complex multi-entity statutory requirements across 14 global subsidiaries
• Drive improvements in financial processes, leveraging software and AI-driven tools to enhance efficiency and insight
• Ensure all financial transactions and reporting meet rigorous government regulations and compliance along with board, bank, and investor reporting standards
• Collaborate with various internal teams to gather financial data and support operational objectives
• Lead and mentor a team of accounting professionals, fostering a culture of accuracy, continuous improvement, and professional development
• Implement and refine accounting policies and procedures to support company growth and operational scalability

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with a minimum of 8–10 years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong background in managing day-to-day accounting operations including accounts payable, T&E, leases, commissions, corporate card, expense policy management, month‑end close, general ledger management, etc
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities to identify trends and discrepancies
• Proven track record in multi‑currency, multi‑jurisdiction financial consolidations and local statutory reporting for global subsidiaries with strong grasp of regulatory compliance requirements for financial reporting
• Proactive approach to identifying and addressing financial risks and opportunities
• Familiarity with modern accounting technologies and workflow automation (e.g., FloQast, Concur, Tipalti)
• Big 4 public accounting experience required
• Proven experience in a senior accounting leadership role within a growing technology or SaaS company
• Active CPA or CMA certification required
• Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
• Deep understanding of US GAAP
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams and executive leadership
• Proficiency in ERP systems, NetSuite preferred
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, for presenting complex financial data
