Job summary

Micro Center, based in Hilliard, OH, seeks a self-motivated Retail Buyer for its International Products Sourcing Group to lead vendor negotiations and assortments for consumer electronics. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Retail Merchandising, Marketing or Business.
• 5-7 years merchant experience as a Retail Buyer or Associate Buyer.
• Mandarin Chinese fluency is preferred.
• Ability to travel to Asia as needed.
• International purchasing experience a plus.
• Strong negotiation skills and vendor relationships.
• Strong verbal and written communication, analytical and retail math skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate costs and terms of business with vendors.
• Select and negotiate “Best in Class” offers for customers.
• Select and drive assortments to build the Best Computer Store in the World.
• Oversee and manage all vendor activities.
• Purchase merchandise including type, quality, source, timing, delivery, mix and promotion.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners to maximize merchandising opportunities.
