Job summary

Weatherford seeks a Consolidations Accountant in Houston to own the global consolidation process and deliver accurate financial reporting under US GAAP. You will coordinate with auditors, manage intercompany eliminations, and drive improvements across consolidation workflows.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Accounting/Finance (CPA preferred) and 5+ years in corporate accounting or audit, with strong Excel skills and cross-functional collaboration. This position is on-site in Houston.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s or CPA preferred).
• Minimum of 5+ years of professional experience, preferably in a public company and/or with public audit experience.
• CPA Certification preferred is listed as a plus.
• Experience with US GAAP (or IFRS) and global financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Consolidation & Reporting: Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidation for global financials, including eliminations and reconciliations.
• Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare and review consolidated financial statements per US GAAP/IFRS for internal and external reporting.
• Internal Controls & Compliance: Maintain robust controls over consolidation and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Audit Support: Coordinate with external auditors and provide documentation for audits.
• Process Improvement: Continuously improve consolidation processes and systems for efficiency and accuracy.
• Management Reporting: Present analyses of consolidated financial results, trends, and risks to senior management.
• Collaboration & Communication: Work with capital assets, intercompany, tax, treasury, and FP&A teams.
• Technical Guidance: Advise global field teams on accounting policy interpretation and applications.
