Weatherford in Houston, TX seeks an experienced Consolidations Accountant to manage global consolidation, reporting, and controls under US GAAP. The role collaborates with intercompany, tax, treasury, and FP&A to deliver accurate financial statements and timely management insights.

The ideal candidate has a CPA (preferred), 5+ years in corporate accounting or public audits, and strong Excel proficiency to support analysis and policy interpretation across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; Master’s or CPA preferred.
• Minimum of 5+ years of professional experience, preferably in a public company and/or with public audit experience
• CPA Certification
• Experience in corporate accounting or audit
• In-depth knowledge of US GAAP (or IFRS) and financial reporting requirements for global organization
• Strong understanding of intercompany eliminations, currency translation, and the consolidation process
• Ability to analyze and interpret financial data and provide clear, concise reports to senior leadership.
• Excellent attention to detail with a high level of accuracy in all work.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across various departments and levels of the organization.
• Proven ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Familiarity with financial reporting in a publicly traded or multinational environment.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other financial analysis tools.

Responsabilités

• Consolidation & Reporting: Monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidation for global financials, including eliminations and reconciliations.
• Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare and review consolidated financial statements per US GAAP (or IFRS).
• Internal Controls & Compliance: Maintain internal controls over consolidation and regulatory compliance.
• Audit Support: Collaborate with external auditors and provide detailed documentation on policies and results.
• Process Improvement: Improve the consolidation process and systems for efficiency.
• Management Reporting: Prepare analyses and insights on trends, variances, and risks for senior management.
• Collaboration & Communication: Work with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate reporting.
• Technical Guidance: Advise global field teams on policy interpretation and accounting matters.
• Stakeholder Communication: Maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Budget/Policy Adherence: Ensure costs align with budget and financial policies.
• Business Planning: Participate in planning, forecasting, and strategic reviews.
