Job summary

Cleveland-Cliffs Inc. in Cleveland, OH is seeking a Manager, Accounting Consolidation & Compliance to lead the global consolidation process, strengthen internal controls, and standardize accounting practices across the organization.

The role oversees intercompany eliminations, fixed asset and lease accounting, and supports audits, acquisitions, and reporting. Requirements include a CPA, a Bachelor’s in Accounting/Finance, 5+ years in consolidation, and U.S. GAAP expertise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• CPA certification required.
• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience including consolidation and reporting.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
• Experience with multi-entity consolidation environments.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage the Company's global consolidation process, ensuring accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial reporting.
• Lead consolidation governance activities, including legal entity structures, account mappings, reporting hierarchies, and consolidation controls.
• Oversee global intercompany accounting and elimination processes, including investigation and resolution of intercompany differences.
• Lead aggregation and reconciliation of company-wide financial information and schedules for accurate reporting and disclosures.
• Develop, maintain, and enhance policies, procedures, and controls supporting the consolidation process.
• Support acquisition integration, legal entity restructuring, and related consolidation/reporting requirements.
• Monitor new accounting standards and reporting requirements and assess impacts on consolidation/reporting processes.
• Support internal and external audit activities related to consolidated financial reporting.
• Lead initiatives to strengthen accounting processes, governance, and internal controls across the global accounting organization.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and control effectiveness.
• Support system enhancements and reporting improvements impacting accounting and financial reporting.
