Job summary

AbbVie seeks a Finance Shared Services Meetings & Events Congress Account Manager II to lead end-to-end management of large congresses. You will partner with brand teams and medical affairs to deliver complex events on time and within budget.

You will own planning, budgeting, supplier management and on-site execution, with travel to US and international sites, and training for CAM team members to ensure high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business/Marketing/Advertising/Hospitality preferred or equivalent.
• 9+ years of work experience in planning/PM.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and follow PM procedures.
• Strong critical thinking and negotiation skills.
• Proactive, consultative mindset with attention to detail.
• Able to multitask in a fast-paced, multi-project environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; delivers results.
• Shows initiative and works well independently or in teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead Tier 1 congress activity across Therapeutic Areas with multiple stakeholders.
• Communicate the FSS M&E value proposition and ensure compliance with AbbVie guidelines.
• Lead annual planning and budgeting for congresses and track costs and savings.
• Serve as Subject Matter Expert and train CAM team members.
• Coordinate housing, venues, F&B, and related meetings; staff resources accordingly.
• Develop and manage internal event microsites/apps and attendee management processes.
• Travel on-site to US and international locations to ensure successful execution.
