Job summary

The Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) seeks a Global Conflict Analyst to support the Global Conflict Tracker at the WCPS in Washington, DC. The role focuses on researching conflicts, developing data visualizations, and contributing to policy-relevant analysis.

Reporting to the WCPS director, you will manage data, track news, edit content, and coordinate with interns and fellows. On-site requirement and strong collaboration skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in security studies, IR, area studies, or related field; Master’s preferred.
• 3+ years of related work experience.
• Experience with data visualization and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Research conflicts with focus on Africa and the Middle East.
• Develop new data visualization products for the GCT.
• Track and fact-check news related to GCT.
• Edit and proofread content.
• Create social media and newsletter content for the GCT.
• Manage project budgets, grants, and Excel tracking.
• Support WCPS team and interns; coordinate events and travel.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
