Job summary

ASM is seeking a seasoned Component Engineering Manager to lead global lifecycle management, change control governance, and supply continuity across its product portfolio.

You will serve as the technical authority for component selection, qualification, and supplier-driven changes, driving risk mitigation, standardization, and cross‑functional collaboration with engineering, operations, procurement, and quality teams to sustain manufacturing and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or related technical discipline.
• 12+ years in Component Engineering or related semiconductor equipment field.
• 7+ years of leadership and team management experience.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, electronic, and electromechanical components in semiconductor capital equipment.
• Experience managing engineering change processes, obsolescence programs, lifecycle management, and supplier-driven changes.
• Experience working across global cross-functional organizations (Engineering, Supply Chain, Procurement, Manufacturing, Quality, Customer Support).
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and executive presentation skills.
• CMII knowledge or certification preferred; familiarity with CPIM principles.
• Experience with PLM systems (Teamcenter) and ERP (SAP S/4HANA) is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategies to proactively manage component lifecycle risks (EOL, obsolescence, supply constraints).
• Serve as the technical authority for component selection, qualification, and change decisions within change management processes.
• Drive consistency and compliance with corporate change management procedures and industry best practices.
• Maintain deep understanding of BOM management and product lifecycle in semiconductor equipment.
• Provide hands-on obsolescence management experience and risk mitigation plans.
• Lead cross‑functional risk assessments and ensure manufacturing schedules and customer deliveries are protected.
