Job summary

American Sugar Refining, Inc. is seeking an experienced compensation professional to join the Corporate HR team in overseeing Florida-based compensation projects for Florida Crystals Corporation and American Sugar Refining, Inc., ensuring timely, accurate delivery and alignment with global initiatives.

The role combines policy oversight, data analysis, and process improvement, including benchmarking, equity adjustments, and system configurations (SAP HR/HCM, SuccessFactors).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Management or related discipline from an accredited university.
• 5–10 years of progressively responsible compensation experience.
• Knowledge of government regulations as they apply to compensation base and incentive programs, with detailed knowledge of FLSA.
• Experience with SAP HR/HCM and SuccessFactors modules.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the effectiveness of compensation policies and procedures; coordinate revisions and new plans aligned with objectives.
• Collaborate with Total Rewards team to integrate processes and the department.
• Advise leaders on pay decisions, policy interpretation, and job evaluation with creative solutions.
• Manage administration of direct compensation programs, equity adjustments, and market alignment.
• Support configuration and testing of SAP HR/HCM and SuccessFactors modules and ongoing use.
• Participate in exempt/nonexempt salary surveys to meet objectives.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state and local compensation laws including FLSA.
• Collaborate with Benefits to align total rewards initiatives and projects.
• Provide communication and training for new compensation processes.
• Perform regular compensation data audits to ensure accuracy.
