Job summary

Resurrection, A United Methodist Church, in Leawood, Kansas, seeks a CDI Director within the Ministries and Programs division to lead strategy, operations, and partnerships for global community development. This is a part-time exempt role located at 13720 Roe Ave, Leawood.

The Director will steward CDI’s mission, manage day-to-day operations, and cultivate partnerships with church and global communities, including Malawi. Governance, budgeting, and fundraising are core duties.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
• Three or more years of demonstrated success in leadership in an equivalent field, with at least one year in management.

Responsibilities

• Lead CDI’s strategic planning and implementation aligned with the church's mission and CDI priorities.
• Foster collaboration, transparency, and accountability across Resurrection, staff, board, and global partners.
• Represent the organization publicly and advocate for global community development initiatives.
• Manage governance, operations, staffing, budgeting, and fundraising outside of Resurrection’s members.
• Develop and execute an operational playbook for global community development, partner vetting, and program design.
