Job summary

Johns Hopkins University is seeking a short-term casual knowledge management and communications support specialist to document project implementation, distill lessons learned, and produce high-quality communications materials for internal and external audiences.

The role focuses on close-out activities and transition, with responsibilities spanning success stories, reports, infographics, and multimedia content.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in communications, knowledge management, social sciences, or a related field.
• 3–4 years of demonstrated experience in knowledge management, communications, documentation, or dissemination, ideally in global health or development programs.
• Experience developing communications products such as success stories, newsletters, infographics, briefs, and presentations.
• Familiarity with knowledge management platforms and tools (Office 365/SharePoint, DHIS2, or similar).
• Familiarity with Canva and other design tools.
• Strong writing, editing, and organizational skills; ability to translate technical program information into clear content.

Responsibilities

• Deliverables: document success stories at project and country levels; highlight achievements, lessons learned, and impact.
• Develop reports and presentations per Jhpiego guidelines for internal/external use.
• Create infographics from project data to show impact.
• Oversee photography/video guidance to capture beneficiary stories for Jhpiego website and publications.
• Ensure branding and visibility adhere to Jhpiego and USG/DOS requirements.
• Prepare close out reports and guidance documents.
