Job summary

International Justice Mission (IJM) is seeking a Communications Intern to support program and advancement staff across Africa and Europe region. The role involves assisting with project management tasks, writing, copyediting and graphic design, with a focus on regional communications initiatives.

The internship can be fully in-person or hybrid (onsite Tue/Thu) in the Washington, DC area or remote for non-local candidates, requiring 20–40 hours per week during standard business hours.

Qualifications

• Must have completed at least two years of undergraduate study by start of internship.
• Prior internship or leadership experience in clubs, campus, or community orgs is preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Support program and advancement teams across Africa and Europe.
• Assist with project management tasks and administrative duties.
• Contribute to writing, copyediting, and graphic design as needed.
• Manage regional Community of Practice scheduling and follow-up.
