Job summary

Wabtec Corporation seeks a senior engineering leader to oversee a distributed team delivering complex signaling and systems projects. You will collaborate with system architects, project managers, and customers to ensure on-time, on-budget, high-quality outcomes across infrastructure programs.

You will drive execution excellence, align delivery with business objectives, and foster a high-performance culture while reporting to leadership on risks and progress.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of communications engineering principles, including network and RF systems.
• Experience delivering integrated subsystem projects (e.g., CCTV, PA, VMS, telephony, SCADA).
• Proven track record leading engineering teams and project execution.
• Excellent planning, scheduling, and risk management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities.
• Analytical, problem-solving, and data-driven decision making.
• Proficiency with MS Office and engineering/project management tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a distributed team of engineers and specialists across locations.
• Plan, prioritize, and manage a portfolio of communications engineering projects.
• Oversee resource allocation and forecasting to optimize efficiency.
• Ensure delivery within scope, schedule, budget, and quality expectations.
• Review engineering deliverables, designs, and project documentation.
• Manage project financials: cost estimates, budgets, forecasts, invoices, change orders.
• Partner with system architects and PMs to identify risks and mitigation strategies.
• Provide portfolio-level reporting on performance, cost, risks, and schedule.
• Drive process improvement in engineering tools and methods.
• Coordinate with stakeholders and customers for alignment and satisfaction.
• Support hiring, onboarding, performance management, and career development.
