Job summary

Wabtec Corporation is seeking a senior engineer/manager to lead a geographically distributed team of engineers, designers, and technical specialists within the Signaling & Systems group. You will collaborate with system architects, project managers, and customers to deliver complex communications solutions across infrastructure projects.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of communications engineering principles and networks.
• Experience delivering integrated subsystems (CCTV, PA, VMS, telephony, SCADA).
• Proven ability to lead engineering teams and deliver projects.
• Solid project planning, scheduling, and risk management skills.
• Able to manage multiple projects with competing priorities.
• Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving and decision-making.
• Proficient in MS Office and engineering/PM tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop engineers, designers, and technical staff across locations.
• Plan, prioritize, and manage a portfolio of communications engineering projects.
• Oversee resource allocation, capacity planning, and forecasting.
• Ensure delivery within scope, schedule, budget, and quality.
• Review and approve engineering deliverables, designs, and docs.
• Manage project financials including costs, budgets, forecasts, and changes.
• Partner with architects and PMs to identify risks and mitigation strategies.
• Provide portfolio-level reporting on performance, cost, risks, and schedule.
• Drive process improvements in engineering methods and tools.
• Coordinate with stakeholders and customers for alignment and satisfaction.
• Support hiring, onboarding, performance management, and career growth.
• Promote safety, accountability, collaboration, and technical excellence.
